K9 DETECTION DOGS
N.D.D. (Narcotic Detection Dogs) / E.D.D. (Explosive Detection Dogs)
Kynagogi detection dogs are trained on equipment that meets the requirements of UK BA, NCTAS, NATO and British Royal Airforce standards, which is a prerequisite for legitimate certifications.
We can provide N.D.D. and E.D.D. specialised K9s, trained to search, locate and indicate on specific and/or illegal substances in both indoors and outdoors environments.
K9s can be trained for the purpose of detecting:
◦ Drugs and narcotics;
◦ Bombs and explosives;
◦ Hydrocarbon and fire accelerants for fire investigation services;
◦ Pyrotechnics, lighters and matches;
◦ Tobacco;
◦ Telephones;
◦ Cash;
◦ Products of animal origin (e.g. ivory);
◦ Carcass and live animals (exotic pets);
◦ Illegal food products.
Kynagogi K9s can be trained to carry out close systematic searches, where dogs work on a delimited and circumscribed area or free running open searches (FREDDS), whereas the dog works proactively and independently.
All Kynagogi K9s undergo passive response indication training, which ensures the dog will not interfere with the source. K9 will be aware of odor/substance, will scan for it and will indicate it, offering a non invasive way of clearing an area and processing people.
Aggressive response is what a perfectly balanced K9 must avoid, to guarantee the safest operational environment.
Kynagogi trained K9s can be assigned for a number of different purposes, areas or situations, such as:
a) Luggage searches (in support to X-ray checks in airports, consulates and embassies);
b) Container searches (ports);
c) People processing (stadiums, arenas, airports, prisons. concerts and exhibitions, cruise ships, cargos);
d) Building searches (public hospitals and private clinics, rehabilitation centers and mental health centers, schools and universities);
e) Vehicle searches;
f) Open terrain searches;
g) Clean-up operations, checkpoints, buildings, ammunition depots and training areas searches (military bases).
SEARCH AND RESCUE
A search and rescue dog can be prepared to detect a live person, for a variety of purposes. The dog is trained to intercept and follow the scent left on the ground or in
the air by the person and to move autonomously in the area in order to locate and show the presence of a human body.
Kynagogi search and rescue k9s can be trained for:
a) Trailing / Tracking;
b) Live body search (e.g. illegal immigrants);
c) Anti-trafficking.
